As Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome his scarlet colored eyes slowly dissolved into a pure, golden color.  His rage at Inuyasha subsiding.

"Very well miko.  This Sesshoumaru has other business to attend to."  Sesshoumaru said as he touched her hand for a moment and dissappeared.  It was clear to eeryone that she had saved Inuyasha's life.  But how, how did she pacify the demon lord?

"Kagome, how was it that you got Sesshoumaru to listen to you?"  Sango asked.

"Oh, it's quite simply, I am his pack mate."  She said with a smile as if talking about her day or the weather.

"The group just stared at her dumbfounded as she went to tend to the very injured hanyou.  Mirkou pulled Sango to the side, so they were out of earshot of the young Shippo.

"How do you suppose Lady Kagome accompished that, my lovely Sango?"

"What do you mean Miroku?"  Sango asked flustered as she blushed heavily.

I mean that being in a youkai pack is hard to do and a great honor."  Miroku said simply.

"I know that!"  Sango said tersely.

"Do you think our Lady Kagome has moved on from Inuyasha?  Is she now in some sort of relationship with Sesshoumaru?"  The monk wondered out loud.

"Quiet you lecherous monk!"  The slayer yelled.  "I am sure it is mrerely a symbol of alliance.  Kagome would never do that!"

But the more Sango thought out it, the monks words made sense.  Especially with the questions about packs and how she had reacted. 

But Kagome would do that.  Would she?
