The flame burning bright

Kagome could feel the flame that ignited in her blood the moment she dropped into her routine and began to dance.  She was even able to leave Mana’s eyes without too much anxiety.  She threw herself into the steps and let them carry her away.  And she was the image of seduction.  Manabu was surprised at the temptress that he held in his arms.  His lord Sesshoumaru was certainly going to be very happy with him.  The fluid and lithe way that Kagome was able to move while making eye contact with those in the crowd was mesmerizing and she held the attention of all the demons in the crowd in front of her. 

She sensuously slid down his leg while looking at a man in the front row and Mana could see the demon mentally undressing Kagome where she stood.  It would be funny to see him at the gala Lord Sesshoumaru was holding and have him realize exactly who she was and what she was to their lord.  The demon would be positively green with envy. 

The dance number was over more quickly than she thought it would be and as they went over to the bar for a drink she found that she was actually panting from exhaustion.  She had put more into that number than even she realized. 

“So how did I do Mana?”  Kagome asked, her sapphire orbs shining bright and searching for her mentor’s approval.

“Very well, Sesshoumaru is certainly going to be surprised.”  He chuckled at the look of glee that passed over her face.
