Kagome's POV

I couldn’t help but laugh when he asked me what I was giggling at.  It was just so unexpected and she loved that he just asked her about something that she cared about.  She let out another giggle before he asked her again, this time seeming somewhat impatient. 

“What is it Kagome?”

“Oh nothing really.”  I said with a little smile.  “Just the very thought of being able to sleep somewhere that is not on cold, hard ground is a very very pleasing thought.”  I couldn’t help but let out another giggle.

“Then you shall truly love being at this one’s palace, for you shall be pampered all of the time.”  He said with a smile that positively sent chills down my spine. 

Pampered?  Me?  I thought, it had been so long since I had just been pampered.  Since something had been done for me with no expectation of something in return.  It was something so different than what I was used to with Inuyasha.  A wave of sadness rushed through my body.  Both at the fact that Inuyasha and I were not speaking and at the fact that every interaction and relationship that I would have after this would be judged on what I had with Inuyasha.  I let out a soft sigh and shook my head.
