Chapter VI

Prompt: rose (Riku Ryu Random Prompt Challenge)

            Rin looked back worriedly at the trailing miko. Her nee-chan seemed to be sad and Rin knew that it was Inuyasha’s fault. According to Shippo, Inuyasha was always upsetting her. Rin, being who she was, decided that she would get her nee-chan a present and she knew exactly what to get her; a rose.

            Shippo told her that Kagome-sama loved flowers, but roses were her favorite. The only problem was that she didn’t know where to find one in this area. Her lord had never taken them on the route that they were currently traveling on.

            Rin moved to where she was standing at Lord Sesshomaru’s side and asked, “Does milord know where Rin can find a rose?”

            Sesshomaru looked to at Rin, one silver brow raised, “Why do you ask?”

            “Rin wants to get Kagome-sama a present. And Shippo-chan said she likes roses.”

            “You wish to give the miko a rose?” Rin nodded, “Why?”

            “Inuyasha made her upset. I want to make her feel better. She’s always making sure everyone is good and happy, but no one takes care of her, So Rin wants to do it!”

            Sesshomaru nodded, thinking over his wards request. “When we stop to rest for the night, this Sesshomaru will find you a gift to give the miko, Rin,” he finally answered.

            Rin smiled, she knew her lord would help her. Now she just had to wait for sunset, then she could give her present to her nee-chan.
