Kagome wandered through the dark halls of her shrine home. She couldn't sleep, not now at least. There was just too many things running through her head at the moment. But at least she finally got all of her homework finished.

The young miko wandered through the living room in her socks. She was heading for the Sacred Tree. Its presence always seemed to calm her mind. And that was exactly what she needed at the moment.

She paused at the front door long enough to put on her shoes and make sure it didn't lock behind her. Once outside  she headed straight for the large tree. Kagome had found herslef coming to the Goshinboku many times since she first traveled through the well, two years ago.

Placing her hand upon the ancient tree, Kagome let its calming prescence flow through her. Much better, now the miko knew she could finally get some sleep.
