Kagome sat at her desk, math homework forgotten, as she stared out her bedroom window. Her thoughts were on the Taiyoukai she left behind. Shaking herself out of her thoughts, Kagome switched on her lamp and once more turned to focus on her homework.

Once good thing at the moment was that her mother had decided to home school her when she was at home. That way she had all the time she needed to catch up on her school work. It also meant that she could focus on her task in the Feudal Era with a lot less worries.

Collecting the shards had gotten a lot easier, since Sesshomaru had joined the hunt. Even though Inuyasha protested every chance he got, he couldn't find fault in how thier search was progressing. They were only a few away from the final confrontation.

As long as the two half-brothers continued working some what together, then taking down Naraku and the onther demons he as working with him will be a little less duffucult. Kagome wasn't going to think it would be easy, nothing concerning Naraku was ever to be considered easy.

Kagome movved away from her desk, homework completely forgotten. Naraku and his incarnations taking up her thoughts. So far, both Kanna and Kagura were unknown in this battle. She knew about both of thier skills, but it was thier loyalty to Naraku that was in question. Kagome knew that Kagura wanted to be free and she'd take Kanna with her if she could. But the real question was how to get them both away form Naraku and guarentee that they wouldn't turn on her in the end.

Kagome sighed before heading out of her room and downstairs. She wasn't getting anymore homework done today. There was just too much on the young miko's mind to concentrate. Kagome paused at the entrance to the kitchen to watch her mother prepare dinner. Sometimes she wished that things could retun back to the way they were before she fell down the well. Things were so much more simpler then. but then she thought about her friends and shippo and realized that even if she could go back in time, she wouldn't change a thing.

Moving further into the kitchen, Kagome joined her mother in preparing the food. Naraku and everyt hing else can wait, for now she was going to enjoy this rare opportunity to be with her family.
