Fire and Ice by Boo-chan

Prologue

I have come up with a good Sess/Kag fiction! I do not know if this has been done before so I am going to assume it is a new thing. I would like to apologize beforehand because some of the chapters will be short, also it will seem AU and OOC. Not too much, but still... I will be glad to receive any and all reviews and/or comments.

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha in any way shape or form - neither do I own the characters. This will only be mentioned once, as it gets redundant.

Warning: Foul language (Inuyasha has a dirty mouth), blood/gore, nudity, and sexual situations/full-blown sex - no underage readers, I will not be responsible for any corruption of youth.

-Prologue-

The day that changed everything for the famous Inu-tachi was a beautiful day, so unlike any other it was almost magical. There was sunlight and a gentle breeze even though it had been the middle of summer, and the tachi had been moving slower than they usually would because the great weather just brought out that reaction from them. Even Inuyasha, who was a naturally surly individual, was strangely placid and seemed content to take his time. It was the kind of day that would have been ruined by a fight, which none of them wanted to engage in, so the sedate pace was ideal. Kagome hadn't even 'sat' the inu hanyou once that day, in too good a mood.

So relaxed were they that when some people arrived they were utterly unprepared.

The taller figure was obviously female and had an unnatural beauty about her. She had violet hair, emerald eyes, and salmon colored skin while her lips were a deep and bloody crimson. Her kimono was a plain yellow and without an obi, meaning it exposed her clingy underclothes. The other was naked and completely androgenous - with skin that was a dark blue, white eyes, and hair of a lighter blue. The other blue-skinned one also had long, black claws on its fingers and toes. Both had a frosty expression that could have rivaled the Ice Lord, Sesshomaru, himself.

"Shikon Miko, Kagome," the androgenous one said, voice without emotion, "we have come to issue the will of the Kami."

Kagome was shocked speechless while Inuyasha immediately drew Tetsusaiga and began screaming obscenities. However, before he could attack, the two strangers began to chant and Kagome was enveloped in a bright pink light that radiated purity and youki. For some time everything was silent but then the wind picked up to a howl and everyone heard a shriek.

"KAGOME!!"

The shriek stopped, replaced by the crying of a child and the begging for it all to stop. The voice belonged to Kagome but... didn't. In a blast of energy, that had everyone shielding their faces, the two strangers disappeared and a small bundle settled onto the ground with a barely audible thud. The rest of the tachi rushed over and all gave a cry of utter surprise at waht they saw. A young girl with blue-black hair and large azure eyes was staring at them in fear, wearing a green yukata.

"Ka...gome...?" Shippou tilted his head curiously, she looked about four.

"Want... Inu...?" she muttered cutely, mimicing Shippou's movement and sending her hair over her shoulder.

"Inuyasha?" Shippou asked, since the others seemed shocked speechless.

"No!" she cried out in dismay, eyes wide. " Want Inupapa! 'Gome want friend! 'Gome want Rin and... and Shippou!"

"Me?" the kit pointed to himself, wondering who Inupapa was.

"Shippou!" she laughed as she launched herself at him, clinging and babbling in the way only children can. Shippou, after a moments hesitation, began to laugh and play with his 'mama' since she seemed so set on it. Everyone was speechless, wondering the same thing:

Who the hell was Inupapa?

Definitely not the average day for the tachi. It was decided they would head to Kaede, the elderly Miko had a way with Kagome and that couldn't have changed because of her age. Edo it was.

Soooooooo, how was it? Comments are welcome and appreciated, as said earlier in the chapter. For those who may be wondering, no, she wasn't talking about Inuyasha's dad. You can take a guess. I expect this to be maybe... twenty or so chapters, depending on how long they are and how fast I feel like moving things.
