Prologue

D/C – I do not own Inuyasha. Here is the new ‘Vampire Miko’ story. I believe it to be better than what the summery tells you. I am not real good at summeries. It has been completely redone however this story is only slightly similar to the other. No I do not know what Kagome's illness is because I made it up! I tried to make the character act like themselves so if they are slightly OOC please forgive me! ^-^! Hope you enjoy the story. Now on to the Prologue........

Kagome felt her heart break as she ran from the camp. She felt her body go numb from the pain she was in. No one had knew what was wrong with her even her doctors in her time had no idea. Kagome had been sick for over 5 months and her pain only got worse. She knew that she would die soon thus the reason she had ran from camp when everyone left.

Kagome finally fell to her hands and knees unable to bare the pain any longer. She tried to lift her head but was to weak from the pain that wracked her body. Kagome could feel a demonic aura close to her. Sighing she closed her eyes and let the darkness take her. She would rather die from a battle she could not win than from a mysterious disease.

>Two Hours Later<

Kagome woke up looking at the ceiling of a cave. She tried to rise but was stopped with a hand going to her shoulder. Kagome snapped her gaze to the person beside her and breathed a sigh of relief when the person was female. Kagome smiled as she layed back down.

“What am I doing here?” Kagome’s voice was harsh from the fact she had been asleep. Faia helped Kagome sit up and put more pillows behind her back that way she was raised slightly.

“Do not worry about that now. You need to heal.” The woman turned to retrieve a small cup. “Drink this and you will be better. By the way I am Faia.” Faia stood and walked over to the center of the room, where there was a fire roaring.

Kagome was uncertain when she took the cup but as soon as she lifted it to her nose to take a sniff she was flooded by a sweet smell. She hesitantly tipped the cup up and drank the liquid. When Kagome was done with the drink she sat the cup down and rose up to where she was sitting with out the pillows behind her.

“Faia, may I ask you a question?” Kagome bit her lip and found that her teeth were sharper. Frowning she raised her hand but stopped when she noticed that her nails were a little longer and came to a sharp pointed tip, almost like claws.

Faia noticed that Kagome had noticed some of the changes. Smiling she made her way over to her ‘daughter’. Sitting down beside Kagome, Faia took one of her hands in hers.

“Let me explain why I have brought you here then you may ask any question you may still have. Is that acceptable?” Faia waited til Kagome nodded her head in agreement. “Good. Now first things first. I assume that you knew you were dying thus the reason you left the people you were with.”

Kagome nodded. Faia squeezed her hand trying to sooth the young girl. “Well I am a demon that feeds on the blood of the dying. Some have called us Vampires, others have called us Chishio youkai. We are able to filter the blood of the dying which we can give back thus turning them or keep it for ourselves thus them dying without pain. I decided once I took your blood that you were still needed so I had to return the blood I took. Do you know what that means?”

Kagome took a second before she answered. She had known for barely 4 years that demons existed and now she was being told that vampires exist as well. Closing her eyes for a moment she took three deep breaths then reopened her eyes. When she see Faia still sitting there holding her hand she knew this was not a dream but very real.

“Yes I do believe that I know.” Kagome smiled as she noticed that her pain was completely gone. “Is there anything else I should know?”

Faia nodded. “You must stay here for at least one year for me to be able to teach you what you need and help you with your new power along with the ones you already possessed before your turn.” Faia went to get up but was stopped when Kagome grabbed her wrist. Faia turned and looked down at Kagome.

“Is there someplace where I can see what I look like?” Kagome did not mean to grab her arm but she wanted to know what she looked like. Kagome could already feel the changes and now she wanted to know what she looked like.

“Of course.” Faia grinned. “Come with me.” Faia lead Kagome out of the area and further into a tunnel that was hidden behind vines that grew inside the cavern. Faia lead Kagome into another cavern with one reflective surface. Kagome walked over to the ‘mirror’ and gasped at what she saw.

A/N – Ha ha ha ha! The next chapter will be chapter one since this is the prologue. The first chapter will be set after the first year of Kagome staying with Faia. Oh and btw this story is based in the Feudal Era. Just to let everyone know. Thanks, Blessed Be, and God Blessed.
