(Authors blog) **Hi everyone, my other stories are on hold for now but I came up with a new story line. It's a Kagome/Sesshoumaru though at first it won't seem like it. Here is a brake down for when people are talking and such.

The Hunt for the One Priestess

Prologue

It was a dark, cold night and he was hungry and tired. He needed her, the one whose blood would save him from his lust. Her innocence and power was beckoning him. But he couldn't find her. He sighed as yet another maiden was brought before him. He took a deep breath. No this one was not the one he was searching for.

He looked to the woman kneeling before him on the floor, surrounded by his men. He had seen her before in his travels. Stepping down from his throne he walked towards them.

"Her smell is of mint."

He stated tonelessly.

"I need someone who smells like sakura and lavender...like spring and rain. Never-the-less leave her here. She will sate my needs for now."

The young woman with golden hair and blue eyes looked up to him in horror as if pleading with him would save her "pure body" from this fate. His lips quirked upwards to form a deadly smile and said.

"You know who I am woman, for it was you who tried to coax me into your bed not so long ago. True I am a stranger to your world, but I know of your intent for my power. Know this wench you shall never have it nor shall you ever have me. I, however, will have you."

With that he turned away from her pushing back his silvery hair as he took his place upon his throne.

"Take her away."

He commanded His voice was cold and cruel as his subjects hurried to do his bidding. He wanted her and what he wanted he got. He was the prince of his people and his power demanded you bow down before him, but he knew that there was one who would defy him. That's who he wanted. He knew her scent but not her face.

"It is time we leave this pitiful planet to their fate."

He intoned commanding those around him with an air of boredom.

"We will move on, our next stop shall be Earth."

Sitting down on the throne he closed his eyes and sighed as the palace began to shake.

(On Earth Present day)

She was going to Japan again. She sighed happily she was now 28 and finally almost done with her studies.* She loved Japan. The shrines there were like a second home to her. She had grown up here over the years what made this trip even better was her friends would be going with her.

She and her sister were at their wits end with the children. Kagome just couldn't understand why Kikyo would baby them when she thought they needed to be disciplined. But they were Kikyo's and Inuyasha's children so she had no right to interfere. They all lived together on a farm in California off and on over the years.

Kikyo and Inuyasha had married when they were 18 and now had two children.

Sato* age 9 and Shippou age 8.

Then there was her Mom and her little brother Sota. Her grandfather had passed away just the year before, leavening Kagome feeling lonely even though she was far from alone. It was due to him that she had such a love in her childhood. When she was younger he would tell her mythical stories of demons.

She had loved him and his death still haunted her. No if she were being truthful she would say she was haunted more by dreams of a man who had silver hair and golden eyes. At first during high school she thought it might be Inuyasha for he had sliver hair and golden eyes but that theory proved wrong. They were close friends always getting into some type of trouble. He was hanyou and was always fighting with Koga, who was yet another friend who wanted her for a mate.

But Koga ended up mating his childhood sweetheart Ayame. With a sad smile she laughed. They were all going to come along with her this time. Sango and Miroku, another married pair, were trying for their first baby and wanted to get some charms for luck. Unlike most of the people around her she was still a virgin. She was waiting for marriage to give her husband her whole self; body, heart, and soul. But how long could she wait?

Her heart rate increased at the very thought of finding completion. Masturbation only left her body aching for more. She sighed no one else knew of her dirty little secret. The demons around her only smelt the lingering traces of arousal that was a common occurance after sex and had assumed long ago she wasn't a virgin anymore. This is what kept her from being mated or married off for now no one wanted someone they believed to be so impure. The law was absolute, well in at least her mind. Folding the clothes she had brought in from outside on the clothes line she stopped to take a breath.

"Where are you my prince?"

She asked the empty room. The winds ripped around her violently for a moment as if to answer her plea, and a phantom voice whispered.

"I am coming."
