Chapter Twenty-Seven: Yen, please!

While he waited outside in front to pick up the little miko he was more than attached to – he caught the vague scent of ookami just lingering in the air. Hues narrowed at the school – Sesshoumaru waited for Kagome, watching as the crowds dwindled. Inhaling deeply, now that no humans were around to replace the stink, he caught the ookami scent clearer.

Ears strained he heard his name was moving across the school grounds in record time and into the school where Kagome was being held at the elbow by none other Kouga.

Lips pursed, Sesshoumaru pulled Kagome into his arms and snarled, “Ookami.”

The other youkai gazed at Sesshoumaru with sky blue orbs and a displeased scowl, “Already got your claws into her, fucking mutt.”

Just as it looked like they were going to rip one another to shreds Kagome let out a little gasp at the crude word and held out her little hand from Sesshoumaru’s protection and stated, “Four yen please!” Kouga looked at her in confusion and Kagome sighed in exasperation, even adding an eye role, “You cursed! That will be four yen please!”

Kouga gave Sesshoumaru an odd look (Sesshoumaru's was almost pained as though saying, 'this is what I've dealt with over the years) and though they didn’t very much like each other, the two nodded slightly while Kouga handed Kagome a few coins.

‘Gome Yuki:: This happened to me. I said a curse word and my neighbor was like – “NICKLE!! YOU OWE ME A NICKLE FOR CURSING”.  The equivalent to a nickel is pretty much 4 yen per some random currency converter but WHATEVER. Review guys!! (:
