Prologue

Disclaimer – I really hope you enjoy my new story called ‘Another Time, Another Place’. I don’t own Inuyasha but its fun to play around with the characters. Hehehe!!!!

*Kaito – Ocean Flying

Kagome kept going. She refused to go back to Inuyasha only to receive more empty promises. He had told her that he loved her and would do anything for her but when they were attacked and she was injured. He yell and screamed at her telling her that Kikyo would not of got hurt. Kikyo would have helped instead of standing there like a statue. That Kikyo was the better fighter.

“I’ll show you Inuyasha.” Kagome vowed as she entered the clearing where the bone eaters well was. “When I return he wont know what hit him.” Kagome smirked as she jumped. As the blue light swirled around her she heard Inuyasha’s voice coming from the distance. Cussing up a storm when she landed in the bottom of the well she quickly put a seal up that no one but her could break. Smirking when she heard a thud meaning that the well refused Inuyasha, Kagome turned and walked out of the well shrine.

Kagome stopped and closed her eyes when she felt the rain hit her as she stepped through the door and into the outside world. Feeling a youkai near she opened her eyes and looked around. She couldn’t see anything but she knew full well that she was not imagining it. Knowing that she had never felt a youkai’s presence before she walked carefully up to her house. Kagome froze when she felt the presence move behind her. She turned to see that a young boy around her age was standing there.

“May I help you?” Kagome asked as she looked the boy over. He had black hair with blue tips that was hanging down his back. His eyes were a deep blue. He wore pants that were black with chains hanging in various locations. He had a see through shirt with a symbol of a rain drop on a tank top underneath the shirt. She could tell that he was concealing his appearance but she couldn’t tell why.

“I’m here to see a girl named Kagome Higurashi.” His voice was low but Kagome could tell that it was velvety soft. She narrowed her eyes at the guy.

“Who wants to know?” She hissed not in the mood for games.

“You have spunk. I like that.” He said as he walked up to her. “Names Kaito Touka.” Kaito held his hand out to Kagome. She shook it hesitantly.

“Ok... so what now?” Kagome asked as she looked him over. “...and what are you doing here?”

Kaito laughed. “Oh man, she didn’t tell me that you would ask a million questions.” He rolled his eyes. “Oh well, I’m here to bring you to Hanna where she will train you in both your powers as well as fighting. Once you have mastered everything you need there will be a ceremony where you get to choose your animal. I’m a Element Inu.” Kaito said as he dropped his the spell. Kagome was surprise to see that Kaito looked much like Sesshoumaru except that his markings were a light blue and the symbol on his head was a crescent moon with a rain drop in the center. His hair was blueish-black with light blue tips. Kagome smiled at the look of Kaito.

“You look like a....... well a guy that I know.” Kagome told Kaito who was smirking. “Well let me tell my mom then we’ll leave.” She changed the subject. Kagome turned but was stopped when Kaito grabbed her arm.

“You don’t have to. I already talked to her and she said that if it helped you survive the Feudal era she was ok with it.” He told her as he knelt down in front of her. “Come on, we don’t have all day.” Kaito teased. Kagome smacked his shoulder as if they were old friends.

“Fine, but if I find out that you are lying to me so help kami I will purify you til the next era.” Kagome warned as she got up on Kaito’s back. Kaito shook his head as he told her to hold on. When he took off Kagome let a squeal escape and grabbed Kaito tighter around the neck. Kagome felt as though this is what she was meant to do. Smiling she looked up at the horizon. Soon I’ll be in another place. Kagome thought as she rode on Kaito’s back into the unknown.
