Chapter 1

This party was rather boring and definitly not appealing to him. He wasn't entirely sure why he entirely sure why he even let Inuyasha talk him into coming. Perhaps it was the mention of possible mates. He had been looking for some time now. The only problem was that being a taiyoukai from the fuedal era in the modern age, no female, human or demon alike, was worth his time. They were all weak. Growing up in a life of luxury and peace. Never having to learn to defend themselves against powerful enemies like he had when he was younger. He sighed as watched a group of girls, though beautiful in appearance, walked by him, all walking as seductivly as they could hoping to capture his attention. He snorted and walked the opposite direction.

It was time to leave. This party was a waste of time and Inuyasha was making a fool of himself in front of a girj that he'd been trying to woo since they'd arrived. Inuyasha had the keys to the car but that didn't bother him. Sesshoumaru wanted to walk. It ws a way to clear his head and it reminded him of old times. Times when there were no cars. There were only dirt paths that served as roads. A time when demons outnumbered humans and everyday was a fight for survival. A scream tore through his thoughts. His eyes darted over to the ally that the scream had come from but what had caught his attention was that it wasn't a scream of fear. It was a battle cry. Sessoumaru's adrenalin began pumping and he was at the mouth of the ally just in time to whitness the battle taking place.
