Riku Ryuu's Prompt - Lamp

Warning: Some naughty allusions. Rated M

~ooO Lamp Ooo~

Kagome did not know she had been followed all day. And that right now her silent stalker was standing under a streetlight staring at the shrine house. That he had restrained himself from approaching her many times that day. And when it began raining his first instinct had been to rush over and share his umbrella.

“What are you waiting for, you old fool?” he hissed. There was no one around to hear him berate himself for his cowardice and inaction.

Sesshoumaru wished he had not sent the kitsune away. He had been selfish, wanting to keep their reunion private, with just the two of them. He stood before the front door she had just vanished through and hesitated. He did not want to knock and risk her slamming it in his face. And she would be rightly justified in doing so.

Taking a page out of his half-brother’s books, Sesshoumaru walked around to the back, to her bedroom window, and jumped up into the lower branches of the tree before climbing so he could look into her bedroom. The window was open a crack to let in fresh air so he could see, hear, and scent her. She had not turned on the main ceiling lights but he could see her moving around in the room, her slender form silhouetted against the thin curtains by the yellow lamp light. His mouth went dry when she reached behind and up to tug down. The damp purple material parted and fell away from her bunching around her waist before she pushed it down over her hips to the floor and stepped out of the wet dress. Gracefully she bent from the waist to pick it up and toss it aside. He watched dry mouthed as she stripped off her underwear and walked away from the window. Her figure was still slender and lithe. There were no traces of another male on her. She had waited all these months for him.

Full lips thinned as the daiyoukai recollected the details in the most recent report, her depression and self-isolation and the rightful worry it had caused in her family and friends. He wondered just how was he to explain why he had not shown up before now. Why he had not contacted her sooner. She had pulled through her depression, thanks to her female friends, and was now more of the woman he knew and loved. Would she be pleased or infuriated to see him? Whatever her reaction, Sesshoumaru knew he could not bear to stay away from her any longer. And he would not tolerate her slamming the door in his face. So he leapt across the small gap and pushed the window open to slide in. The light from the single lit lamp and his sharp senses were enough to confirm she was not in the room.

He lifted his nose and inhaled deeply. He could smell water, mint, and pheromones, hear soft moans and stifled whimpers; the unmistakable sounds and scent of sensual pleasure and desire. Sesshoumaru was unable to resist following the distinctive trail to a particular door, a bathroom. Gently he turned the knob. It was unlocked so he pushed the door and stepped in, closing it just as quietly behind him. And then his breath caught at the scene before him.
