Riku Ryuu's Prompt - Sunset

Kagome stood on the shrine front step and stared into the sunset. The view was always spectacular from this angle, the luminous fiery globe tinting the blue sky pink and orange and purple. She stared almost hypnotized by the glowing halo framing the red tinged yellow orb. The setting sun reminded her of Sesshoumaru, the citrine hue of his eyes, the fiery orange of his aura, the warm pulse of his presence.

She watched until the sun had vanished over the building tops, the only visible traces in the light reflecting off the glass towers. It did not take long for the skies to darken and the air to cool. She hurried down the steps and to the shrine house to help her mother prepare dinner.
