Riku Ryuu's Prompt - Glitter

~ooO Glitter Ooo~

Her power purified hundreds of minions. Vaporized bodies disintegrated into dust that sparkled like glitter. Tiny motes of shining points of light floated into the air before being swirled away into the winds. Kagura flicked her fan. The dust motes swirled higher and higher before being blown away from the battlefield.

No one dared to approach the Shikon miko. Her aura had manifested in a glittering pink haze that lit her up like a pink bonfire. Occasionally it flared and set off sparks that stung the unwary, youkai not strong enough to resist purification.

“Watch it wench!” InuYasha snapped jerking back when he was burned.

Kagome turned and gave him an impatient look.

“Don’t push me InuYasha,” she said with darkly glittering eyes. “Or I will say it.”

He growled and withdrew and watched with sullen amber eyes as Sesshoumaru walked up to stand beside Kagome. The hanyou wanted to snarl at the ice-prick, he wanted to see Kagome’s aura attack him. And then it did. Just not in the manner InuYasha had expected.

The pink flares separated into tendrils and floated towards the daiyoukai, almost stroking him. And then his power responded in kind, glowing orange-red smoke manifesting around him, entwining with Kagome’s glittering pink aura.

Everyone around watched amazed as the two opposing auras, a daiyoukai and his miko mate, entwined as one, weaving and blending together without conflict. And InuYasha saw that the relationship between his hated half-brother and the miko from the future was wanted and desired by both. If it had been undesired by one, or both parties, their auras would never have merged like this.
