Riku Ryuu's Prompt - Hair

After Kagome finished her homework she packed away her books and made sure the children were settled in her spare sleeping bag. Then she removed a hair brush and comb from her personal kit before approaching the daiyoukai, kneeling beside him.

“May I?” she asked diffidently though no one was fooled by her tone.

He regally inclined his head and shifted, creating a small space between his back and the base of the tree he had been resting against.

She began at the ends, stroking to unsnarl small knots before proceeding up the shaft, towards the roots. His mate had a gentle touch, she knew exactly how much pressure to exert, the precise amount of force to create a soothing tugging sensation. Once all the tangles had been dealt with she ran the brush through his hair from the scalp towards the back. The boar bristles stimulated his scalp nicely. The sensations would be more pleasing if his mate used her nails and fingers. He was looking forward to the day they could bath together and groom each other in a private secure hot spring, without having to be constantly on guard.

He resisted the urge to sigh when she finally used a length of cord to tie back his hair at the base of his neck. He wished she would groom him longer. It had been too long since he had found anyone worthy enough of paying such intimate attentions to him. In fact he had resisted when she had first asked permission to brush his hair. But he had been unable to resist her pleas (much like Rin) and found that he was right to indulge her. Once he had a taste of her thoughtful care he did not want to go without.
