Riku Ryuu's Prompt - Star

AN:  Okay, I honestly had thought to stop with the Inu Challenge prompts but thanks to the encouragement of a few reviewers (you know you are) I’m going to try to keep going… to give this a story a happy ending. Honestly I have no idea where I’m heading so I’m turning to Riku Ryuu’s Random prompts for inspiration. Updates are not going to come as fast as they did before cause now I really have to sit and think and figure things out now.

~ooO Star Ooo~

Kagome came awake slowly. The first thing she realized was that someone was carrying her bridal style. Next that it was still dark. She tilted her head back and looked up at an achingly beautiful face framed in pale hair that was almost glowing under the silvery moonlight and bright starlight.

“Sesshoumaru,” she murmured before snuggling against his shoulder. He was not wearing any armour and it was nice, to be get so close to him. Then she came to with a start. There was only one reason why he would be carrying her away from camp in the middle of the night. “We can’t! InuYasha’ll hear us! And explode.”

He looked down with a faintly tolerant expression. “Barrier spells,” he told her succinctly.

She blinked and absorbed the information as he continued walking before stopping in a clearing surrounded by a ring of small polished boulders. The moment Sesshoumaru crossed the edge they sparkled and began glittering.

He placed her down in the centre of the circle and made a gesture that made the stones glow brighter. Carefully he spread out the blanket she just noticed and placed his pelt along one edge. Then he lifted her up and placed her in the middle the blanket. Kagome debated her options before settling on the one she wanted. She grabbed the hem of her tee-shirt and tugged it over her head in one motion, leaving her in just her panties. It didn’t take much to slide them off her hips, down towards her knees, and then kicked off deftly. She did not want her underwear to be destroyed. Explaining just how that happened to Kaa-san would be horribly embarrassing!

Her body felt warm and languid as she watched him strip off his own clothes, layer by layer to reveal the perfection beneath. She tilted her head back and glimpsed the bright pure light of brilliant diamond points on Prussian blue silk, the stars in the heavens. She knew they were so far away yet she felt the yen to reach out and try and grab them.

Then there was a brilliant silvery falling arc in the heavens.

“A shooting star,” she murmured. “My people believe if you wish upon a shooting star it will come true.”

He glanced at her with curious eyes and asked, “What would you wish for?”

She was taken aback. “Me?” Her expression turned thoughtful. “I don’t know,” she admitted. “I would not want to wish for gain. I would know I did nothing to deserve it.”

“And what of wishing for others?” he pressed.

She shook her head. “Naraku seeks the Shikon to wish. So do InuYasha. Both of them don’t realize a wish upon the Shikon is pure folly.” She smiled wryly. “Humans have a tale of something called a monkey’s paw. Nothing good comes of wishing, only hard work.”

He smiled slowly at her and pushed her flat on her back back on the blanket, her head falling upon his pelt. Then he bent down over her, hands above her shoulders, and whispered in one year. “That is why you are worthy of this Sesshoumaru.”

And then he proceeded to reward her in the most pleasurable of ways.

When he finally made her climax she saw stars and fell apart knowing he would catch her, he would always catch her.
