second the idea for this story is from a very old story i wrote with Sesshomaru and a OC but i like it better with Kagome so there. thanks.

CH. 1 Dynamite.

Kagome swayed to the music as Taio Cruz's “dynamite” flowed out of her ihome and wrapped around her. Her spring cleaning had once again been put on hold for another song as she jumped and moved to the beat. She was glad her lower neighbors had moved out months ago otherwise she'd be disturbing them with her dancing and moving about. She was happy it was just her now. She loved Sango, the girl was her best friend, but she was so happy to now have her own place...even if that creep Naraku lived down the hall from her.

She shook her head, shaking his image from her mind as she spun and leapt off the bed, making a loud thump as she landed on the floor of her room.  She winced when the vibration shook her dresser and caused a picture to fall. She shook her head fixing the portrait. She smiled at it. The group of them were so happy. Sango and Miroku off to the left, Koga and Inuyasha with Kagome in the middle took up the rest of the picture. It had been of their senior trip to the beach. She shook her head and moved to repeat the song and started losing herself in the music again. Forget the old days. Just dance.

Sesshomaru pushed the door opened, mouth open to start demanding that whoever was jumping stop, when he froze. A girl was dancing around her living room, hopping around like a madwoman.

It was the funniest damn thing he had ever seen. He burst out, laughing loudly, almost falling to the floor in his mirth.

Kagome froze and spun around to glare at whatever intruder had just pushed his way into her bedroom. "What the hell are you doing in here?" who was this creep?

Sesshomaru continued laughing at the girl. “That was very cute dancing.” He chuckled.

"That doesn’t answer my question. Who are you and why are you in my apartment?" her face turned red from embarrassment. No one, not even her ex, ever caught her dancing.

Chuckling, Sesshomaru looked at her. “My name’s Sesshomaru. I’m your new neighbor downstairs. That’s why I’m here. You’re jumping around was making a lot of noise, so I came up to ask that you stop, but when I saw you dancing…” He chuckled again. “Oh, that was worth it.”

She frowned. Great. Now someone lives under me. “That doesn’t give you the right to just barge into my apartment.”

“I’m sorry for that. I was in something of a bad mood.” He was still chuckling under his breath at her. It had been a truly funny sight.

She crossed her arms over her chest. “Whatever.” Not like people don’t walk in here all the time anyways. The lock didn’t always work. Everyone just assumed she left it open. “So… You live downstairs?”

“Yeah, just moved in today.” He smiled at her.

“Well… welcome, I guess.” She tried offering a smile.

“Kagome you know leaving- Oh. Sorry.” Sango blinked at the man in the apartment. “I didn’t know you had a guest.”

“I was an unexpected guest. And I will take my leave. It was nice to meet you both. I’m Sesshomaru Taisho.” He smiled and bowed to the two girls.

“Taisho?” Kagome blinked. “You’re not Inuyasha’s brother, are you?”

His eyebrows shot up. “Yeah. He’s my younger half-brother.”

She groaned and closed her eyes.

“I told you, you couldn’t avoid him forever.” Sango wagged her finger at the girl.

“Um… How do you know my little brother?” Sesshomaru asked.

“I dated him for five years…” Kagome muttered.

“What?! You’re the girl he was dating?! Our dad was driving everyone nuts nagging him about bringing you home!”

“How cute.” Sango smiled.

“Don’t start that again Sango. I’m not going back.” She shot daggers at her friend.

Sesshomaru remained silent, figuring it was safer than speaking up during a private conversation. “Um… I think I should go…”

Kagome glanced at Sesshomaru again and blushed. she hadn’t meant to have an outburst like that. "Sorry..."

“It’s fine.” Sesshomaru smiled reassuringly as he moved to the door.

"Uh...welcome to the Shikon apartments?" she smiled shyly waving him out.

"We'll have to invite him over. I'll help you cook dinner." Sango winked at him.

"Sango..." she groaned leaning her head back.

“Thanks!” He called back, his excellent hearing allowing him to overhear the girls’ conversation.

"Sango the last thing i need is to deal with Inuyasha's older brother."

"But Kagome Inuyasha's still missing you. You should give him another chance..." Sango trailed off, still unsure of why the two had even broken up.

"To hurt me again? No thanks." Kagome turned back to “cleaning” and started moving pictures around on her dresser.

Sango sighed. "Fine. i just came over to pick up my last suitcase. Why don’t you come back with me and I'll make Miroku cook us some dinner?"

Kagome smiled at the offer and nodded.

Touga wrinkled his nose at the apartment. "Explain to me again why you’re moving into this place?"

“Because I am a grown man who does not wish to live in his father’s home forever.” Sesshomaru said, more than a little agitated about his father’s attitude.

"The only reason I'm letting you do this is because Izayoi says i have to." he grumbled at his oldest pup. grown or not he was still a pup

Sesshomaru smirked. His father was such a pushover when it came to his wife. “Well, thank Izayoi for me then.”

"I just don’t understand-" his head shot to the open door as female giggles drifted to his ears. He watched the two women run down the stairs and pass the door laughing about something. "Now I understand." Touga looked to his son and smirked. "Which one are you tailing?"

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Sesshomaru said, busying himself by moving boxes.

"I'm sure you don’t." the older dog laughed. "I might have to visit more often. Just to see how things are going."

“Don’t let Izayoi or Mother catch you saying that, you old letch.” Sesshomaru smirked.

His father cleared his throat "ah yes well-"

"How much crap did you pack?" Inuyasha growled carrying to last box into the apartment. "This thing weighs a ton!"

“Oh shut up. I could’ve left you there with our mothers. Which sounds better to you?” Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow.

He grumbled but set the box down. Not that he didn’t like both women but together...they were worse than Sesshomaru any day. "whatever." a slight scent caught his nose. "Why do you smell like her"

Sesshomaru looked at his brother like he was an idiot. “She’s not interested in you.”

He growled and narrowed his eyes. "That wasn’t my question."

Touga leaned against the bar separating the kitchen from sitting room with a bag of pre made popcorn. "Oh? Sesshomaru what is he talking about?"

“Kagome. His ex-girlfriend.” Sesshomaru looked at Inuyasha. “And what does it matter to you? You’re with Kikyo.”

"Kagome? the girl from high school?" Touga looked between sons for an answer.

Inuyasha looked away a scowl still on his face.

“Yeah. The nice one that he cheated on.”

"And now you’re with her. It’s like your mothers soap operas!" their father clapped.

“What!” Sesshomaru dropped the box he was carrying. “Who the hell said we were dating?”

"well i just assumed sense you were defending her when your brother asked. Now when are you bringing her home? You know i couldn’t get Inuyasha to." Touga stuffed another hand full of popcorn into his mouth.

"That’s because she didn’t want to." Inuyasha defended himself.

“I am not dating her. I’m defending her because she’s really nice. She didn’t want to because you kept cheating on her you idiot.” Sesshomaru growled.

"You don’t know anything about that!" he growled. "Just stay away from her."

“You have no say in what I do with her. You gave that up when you broke up.” He narrowed his eyes at his little brother.

"Just because she wanted a break doesn’t mean she's not mine." Inuyasha flexed his claws.

“You’re still dating Kikyo. No wonder she wants nothing to do with you.”  Sesshomaru smirked.

"I'm not with Kikyo!" he growled.

"Inuyasha lower your voice. There are others living in this apartment." Touga growled. He enjoyed the banter but he would not let his son get a noise complaint his first night.

“That doesn’t mean you’re with Kagome.” Sesshomaru growled.

"Well this has been lovely but it’s time to go. Come on pup." Touga grabbed his son by an ear and started dragging him out, only to run into one of the giggling girls from earlier.

"Sorry! I didn’t watch where-oh." Kagome bit he lip staring at Inuyasha.

“Oh great.” Sesshomaru muttered as he walked out. “Kagome, this is my father, Touga. And I believe you already know my brother.” He growled as he finished.

Kagome nodded. "Hi. Look i was just running to get my cell..." she side stepped the two demons and continued up the stairs.

"So she lives upstairs?" Inuyasha's eyes fallowed her as she made he way up.

"I said come pup" Touga growled dragging his youngest down the stairs.

Sesshomaru growled to himself as he watched them leave. ‘Damn… I’m sure she won’t like that…’

Kagome slammed her door and moved to her room to grab her cell. Her eyes landing on the small 'book case'. The red scrap book mocked her but she couldn’t throw it out. She sighed and left again, running down to meet Sango, praying to at least forget about everything for a while.

Sesshomaru approached hesitantly. “Hey Kagome… I’m sorry about that. They were leaving and… I told him you weren’t interested anymore, okay?” He smiled what he hoped was a reassuring smile.

She took a breath. "I've already told him that. I'm fine. Really."

He nodded. “Alright. If you need anything, you know where I am.” He smiled softly again.

She nodded slowly before turning and stepping out of the apartment building and over to Sango's waiting bug. That had been...strange.

Sesshomaru returned to his apartment, flopping down on his couch. ‘This is going to be interesting…’
