Training for Tomorrow by Bird That Flies At Dawn

Butterfly

Prompt: Crayons – Riku Ryuu's Random Prompts

Words: 100

OOOOOO

Colors rained down upon Kagome like a waterfall. Each individual insect had a shade all its own, and the effect was magnificent. Kagome kept her gaze transfixed on their fluttering wings as they frolicked through the flowers, searching for their food in them. Or maybe they were just attracted to the vivid hues of the flora. Kagome wasn't really sure. She had seen many wonderful and exotic things when she traveled through the well and ended up in the feudal era, but nothing like what she saw in that field. It was a different kind of beauty. A living kind.

Prompt: Nervure – IDDN – 9 March 2012

Words: 100

OOOOOO

Kagome looked at the small insect. The butterfly had vibrantly colored wings of blue and violet, its darker shaded nervure showed quite clearly. It had caught her interest immediately, and she wondered just at the sight of it. How could a creature be so breathtakingly beautiful? But Kagome hadn't bothered to ponder that long, because in an instant it reminded her of a person she had become very familiar with, and that was the equally as breathtaking dog youkai who currently stood above her, peering at her curiously. Kagome glanced up, trying to guess how long he had been there.
