Sesshomaru stood, waiting for another one of her pathetic attempts at fighting him. Kagome really didn't think that their training was getting her anywhere.

She watched his stance, steeling herself to be thrown to the ground again. He looked poised to kill, crouched slightly with claws at the ready. It was beautiful in an odd way, and Kagome couldn't help but let her thoughts wander as her eyes did.

What am I thinking!? she exclaimed internally.

But Kagome knew what she was thinking. She knew exactly what she was thinking. She just preferred to remain in sweet denial.
