It was around noon, the sun high in the sky. Kagome had come to meet Sesshomaru in the clearing to train. That was their agreement. She stared with wide eyes and her mouth agape at what he dropped before her.

“You explained that duct tape did not work for you. I supplied my own duck,” Sesshomaru explained.

“That's...not what I meant,” she replied slowly, still staring at the dead bird.

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow, but kept any questions he might have had to himself. He was a curious creature, and he had learned to live with his want to know things.

All of a sudden Kagome started giggling. He had understood her wrong, but he had tried to help her out, and being Sesshomaru she guessed submitting himself to that took an inner courage that not even he recognized.

And for some reason, she found it absolutely hilarious.
