Chapter 95: Desperation

“Hurry!” Kagome begged, tears raining from her eyes.

Sesshoumaru wriggled his fingers in her fierce grip and soon frowned in understanding. His hand slid beneath the collar of Inuyasha’s borrowed Fire Rat and pulled out the accursed Shikon no Tama.

“Please protect it, Sesshoumaru-sama!”

The Western Lord was disturbed by the fear he saw in her sapphire orbs. He was also eerily reminded of the promise he’d given to Inuyasha before his final breath.

How troublesome.

Nevertheless, he decided to comply with her demand, if only to never have to see such an expression on her face again.
