Chapter 90: Like Father, Like Son
“Moriko,” Sesshoumaru greeted, his usual deadpan expression in place. “Are you implying that this one has poor memory?”
The inu-youkai before him gave him a smile, tawny-colored eyes glittering with mirth. Lavender blossoms decorated her white kimono and a naginata was strapped to her back. The lengthy braid of her silver hair swayed as she shook her head.
“Of course not.”
“Then why did you intervene?” he asked.
Moriko ignored him, eying the feverish human in his arms with ill-concealed curiosity.
“Another ward?”
The way Sesshoumaru’s hold tightened around the female didn’t escape her notice.
