Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot of this drabble series does belong to me as well as any OCs that may show up along the way.

A/N: As her adrenaline rush dies down, Kagome reflects on the current situation. 

Chapter 79: Moment of Weakness

A long-suffering sigh escaped from Kagome’s lips as she settled herself against Sesshoumaru’s downy fur. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

The miko believed him when he said that Inuyasha could be saved, but…

She bit back a sob.

What were they going to do? Who would help them?

Shuuko had as many tricks up her sleeve as Naraku did, or perhaps even more. While she had no doubt that Sesshoumaru could probably kill her without breaking a sweat, he couldn’t unless they found Inuyasha’s cure first.

And then there was the issue with Sasori, which was another problem in itself.
