Chapter 77: Tremulous

Sesshoumaru’s lustrous coat shimmered in the sunlight as he gazed down at the tiny female. Inwardly, he frowned, displeased with the way her body trembled at the sight of him. Crimson eyes narrowed slightly.

Was she afraid?

Intrigued, he dipped his large head and stared at her at eye level, waiting for her to snap out of her stupor and acknowledge him. When she didn’t, he let out a huff and nuzzled her gently, careful not to knock her over.

“Oh!” He felt small hands pet his muzzle. “I’m sorry, Sesshoumaru-sama. I’m okay!”

The great daiyoukai almost purred.
