Chapter 412: Paralysis

“I’m not a child. I can do this myself.” Kagome’s voice came out much sharper than she had intended it to. The truth of her death frightened her badly. She only remembered the details from her final moments when she looked upon the pool of warm water in the bathing chamber. Her body trembled while she clutched the front of her borrowed yukata with overly tightened fingers. She hyperventilated.

“You cannot,” Sesshoumaru told her. He frowned as she continued to flinch away from his hands. Growling softly, he caught her in his arms. “Be still. Do not fight me, Kagome.”
