Chapter 411: No Grey

Kagome swallowed. “No, you didn’t. I didn’t die… What are you talking about?” Her hands began to shake like she knew on some level that he was telling the truth, but didn’t want to believe it. “Don’t joke around like that, Sesshoumaru-sama. It’s not funny.”

“Do you think I would say this lightly?” He really wanted to be angry, and he was… at himself. “I held your corpse, miko.”

“I don’t understand.” She collapsed against him, holding herself up on the spikes of his breastplate. “I don’t… Is that why I’m so weak?”

Saying nothing, he picked her up again.
