Chapter 408: Don’t Let Me Go

His warmth set her at ease.

Pressing her cheek against his shoulder, she looked up at him, memorizing the sharpness of his jaw and the perfect outline of his profile. Auburn eyes flicked to her, as if sensing her gaze, and she blushed at the intensity of his stare.

Kagome relaxed eventually and leaned into him more, trusting the male not to drop her. There was a soft pressure on her forehead and then at the corner of her lips. He was apologizing again… Why?

Her thumb gently traced the mouth that was so close to hers.

“What’s wrong, Sesshoumaru-sama?”
