Chapter 401: What If

Sesshoumaru sighed as he carefully placed Kagome’s lifeless form onto his futon, drying her sopping hair and clothes with a burst of his youki. He knew he wouldn’t be able to do anything about her cold body, but he would make her as comfortable as he could when she returned to him. He didn’t know what he would do if Tenseiga refused to cooperate again.

Thankfully, with his father’s fang at his hip, he saw the little pallbearers trying to take Kagome’s bright soul away. This time, there were no malicious coils as she was finally free of Shuuko’s grasp.
