Chapter 389: Secrets of the Trade

“My ex-mate, the droll, little thing that she is, has been keeping a close eye on you. I’d prefer to sever that connection.”

Kagome saw her alpha lick the burns on his hand from the corner of her eye, before asking, “Why?”

Naraku crossed his arms and shrugged. “The only way to get rid of my shouki is if you enter a deceased state and let it believe you’ve passed on to the afterlife. Without a Shikon shard as a conduit, the infection has nothing to tie it to the body since the soul has supposedly moved on. Clear enough?”
