“If I’m correct, the majority of the poison is located here.” Kagome watched as a pale finger pointed at her chest. “The heart is really an ingenious creation.”
Slightly unnerved, the woman leaned away from Naraku’s reach. “Why does that keep coming up? My heart, I mean.”
His scarlet eyes took on a knowing gleam. “Did anything interesting happen to you lately? An emotional outburst or revelation? Anything of that sort?”
“I…” Kagome hesitated. “What do you know?”
His lips curled. “Show me yours, and I’ll show you mine.”
“Ew. No.” She rolled her eyes at his low chuckle.
“Prude.”
