Chapter 383: Unlikely Allies

Kagome watched as Naraku experimentally pushed down on her breastbone again. A thoughtful look passed across his features. “Why are you being so cooperative?”

He spared her a glance, dark brows raised. “You’re complaining about my help?” he slyly murmured.

“I’m in no position to complain,” she admitted. “I just wanted to know. That’s all.”

He tutted. “Curiosity is a troublesome thing.”

“Are you lecturing me now?”

“I’m not in the habit of sharing words of wisdom with anyone… Especially you, Kagome-chan.” He smiled. “But as for your first question, my shouki is slowly killing you. I can feel it.”
