Chapter 382: A Narrow Lead

After a short break with refreshments, during which Kagome reluctantly offered some onigiri to the dark-haired spider, the pair took another shot at discovering the root of his shouki.

“Where else would it be?”

Naraku briefly met her gaze as his hands continued to feel around the ridge of her collarbone. “It’s a bit difficult to pinpoint. My ex-mate made sure to weave my poison throughout your entire body.” His fingers moved to her throat. “And as such, the small concentrations are nearly undetectable.”

His palms returned to her sternum. “You said `nearly.’”

Naraku smirked in pleasure. “That I did.”
