“He’s the antidote?” Kagome’s voice dripped with disdain. “I don’t believe you.”
“Well, it is a good thing he isn’t.” Satomi’s smirk widened, flashing her fangs at the pair before her. “He must recall the infection, or your life will be forfeit. I am surprised it hasn’t spread to your heart yet.”
The other woman grimaced. Sesshoumaru’s mother had phrased the problem like Naraku had given her an STD or something. Her skin crawled. “Gross. Can you not say it like that?”
“Whatever do you mean?” Satomi purred, feigning innocence.
Kagome knew better than to take the bait. “Never mind…”
