Chapter 362: Purpose

“Now, on to more important things.” The Lady Mother set her chopsticks down and slipped her arms within the sleeves of her kimono. Her abrupt change in demeanor casted a layer of tension over the room. Following suit, her son and his packmate eyed her expectantly as Kazuya’s presence remained out of sight behind her.

“The situation with the spider needs to be addressed,” she announced.

Kagome’s teeth sank into her bottom lip, chewing worriedly. “Why is he here, Satomi-sama?”

“Because, Kago-chan,” the demoness spoke ominously, “He will take back what was once his.”

“Which is what exactly?”

“His poison!”
