Chapter 354: Compare & Contrast

“Haha-ue has treated you well?”

“All things considered, yes.” Kagome watched as the daiyoukai took her hands and observed them closely. She wiggled her fingers and smiled when his eyes lit up with interest. Her blunt nails were a far contrast to his sharp ones. It was amazing how harmless they could be when they weren’t glowing green.

“And your loss of appetite was because…” he trailed off, shooting a disapproving look at the thinness of her arms. He could hold both of her fragile wrists with one hand.

“I was worried!” she said defensively.

“Do not starve yourself again.”
