Chapter 349: Voice of the Delusional

“When are you coming back, Sesshoumaru-sama?” The voice was so quiet, so soft and heartbroken that Sesshoumaru pulled back from the little miko and stared at her.

Confusion dulled his eyes as he frowned. “I am not going anywhere, Kagome.”

“No,” she sighed, hot tears sliding down the bridge of her nose when she closed her eyes in denial. “You’ve already gone away.”

“Stop this,” he commanded. “Look at me.”

“I can’t. It hurts too much.”

Sesshoumaru paused, changing his tactics. “What hurts?”

“My heart…”

Slipping her yukata down her shoulder, he gingerly touched the wrappings of her breast bindings.
