Chapter 344: Deterioration

She looked ill.

The pallor of her skin gave way to the bruised circles beneath her eyes, only apparent now that she was so close to him. Her dark lashes remained curled and delicate as they sat above her sharp cheekbones, no longer full of the vitality he had come to expect from her youth. Her happiness had taken a downturn, and so her health had suffered significantly.

It was yet another thing that was unacceptable.

Though Sesshoumaru hadn’t abandoned her at his mother’s, it might as well have been true if Kagome’s condition had anything to say about it.
