Chapter 343: In the Blink of an Eye

Watching her while she slept had become somewhat of an odd pastime of his as they rested together. As a youkai, he hardly required sleep, though it was more along the lines of a short nap than anything. He personally liked to indulge out of pleasure, not necessity.

Sesshoumaru supposed his fascination with his companion was due to the fact that human lives were fleeting, and they experienced changes more rapidly than those with a long lifespan ever did. When he had returned from the Netherworld, he’d known that Kagome had undergone a few changes; some he didn’t particularly like.
