Chapter 337: Nothing More, Nothing Less

“Why did you mark me?”

Sesshoumaru remained smooth in his movements as he dragged a damp cloth over his cheek. He drew the curtain over the window and eyed Kagome’s sprawled out form on the futon. Her head was propped on her hand as she lay on her side, wrapped up in his mokomoko.

“…Mark?” he inquired slowly, deeply.

“You gave me a hickey,” the miko grumbled in embarrassment.

Slender fingers cupped her neck where the offending bruise was, gentle in his examination. It was no longer swollen but still an angry red against her light skin.

“It means nothing.”
