Chapter 336: Tainted Affections

Sesshoumaru had been the first to move.

Kagome’s nose brushed against his chest when she tilted her head back, azure hues swirling almost tumultuously. There was a dark speck of blood on his cheek, and when she moved to touch him, he caught her wrist.

“Don’t,” he rumbled deeply, nipping her fingertips. He ignored the faint scent of his cousin on her clothes and pulled her close. Relaxing in his hold, Kagome brought her arms around him and hugged back just as tightly. Her eyes squeezed shut as she listened to him breathe, his heart thumping steadily into her ears.
