Chapter 331: From Bad to Worse

“I don’t know how it had gotten so bad so quickly. We’d just beaten Naraku, everything seemed all fine and dandy, y’know? It was like we could all just move on from a bad nightmare and finally get around to better and brighter things.”

Kagome took a moment to gather her thoughts, pulling the blanket more securely around her shoulders.

“I was going to get rid of this thing,” at this, the miko indicated the Jewel at her sternum, “and go home… But of course, nothing ever seems to go according to plan. Well, not if I’m involved at least.”
