Chapter 330: Journey

“When I was on the quest for the Jewel, there was always a set goal in mind,” Kagome confessed quietly as though she was revealing a long-forgotten secret. Kazuya’s ears quivered in anticipation, but he decided not to say anything.

“Gather the shards, don’t get killed, and try to help as many people as you can. I used to wake up every morning with that in mind. Inuyasha made sure we all knew that,” she told him with such a fondness in her smile that Kazuya felt honored to witness the intimate expression.

“And then Shuuko and Sesshoumaru-sama came along.”
