Chapter 329: Choices & Consequences

Kagome frowned. “I won’t have you exiled or dead!”

“But you’ll have me,” Kazuya wheedled, latching onto her words. But the second her shoulders drooped in despair, the male’s playful smirk slipped from his face.

“It’s not like I have any other choice. Being in a pack is more complicated than I thought.”

“Do you hate us?”

Truly startled by the question, the miko stared at him for a long while. “What?” she demanded, tone utterly dry. “Where did that even come from?”

“You said–”

“No,” she cut him off. “That’s not what I meant.”
