Chapter 327: His Path

“Correct again. She was his as I am yours.”

“Oh.” Tears pooled in her eyes as the weight of the situation dawned on her. “I’m sorry, Kazuya-san.”

“You weep entirely too much in my presence, Kagome,” Kazuya joked lightly. He wanted to bring her into the comfort of his embrace, but he didn’t think his cousin would take kindly to that. Scent was everything to inu-youkai, and his would undoubtedly be unwelcome.

“I just…” She palmed her eyelids, the heat of her skin warming her cold hands. “I’m sorry. I d-don’t know what e-else to say.”
