Chapter 324: What Matters Most

“Which is the fourth problem: His mom.”

“Exactly,” Kazuya said. “This is the longest he’s had to endure her presence in quite some time. He abhors her smothering.”

That Kagome could understand.

“The rest of the list involves what happened earlier tonight.”

“Oh… With the whole jumping thing?”

“Yes. He believes I risked your safety through inaction. Failure to him is…difficult to explain,” he murmured. “And due to my mistake, my life was forfeit. Personal feelings aside, I think this infuriated him even more since the protection of his pack is most important to him.”
