Chapter 322: Flaws in the System

“I still don’t understand why Sesshoumaru-sama was so upset. What did I do wrong?” Kagome asked, furrowing her brows. She stared at the moon and its waning crescent as if the glowing entity would provide the answer to her problems.

“It’s a matter of pack dynamics,” Kazuya sighed as he draped a blanket around her shoulders. After receiving a thankful look, he sat a respectful distance away. “I’d say it’s his sense of duty and honor that’s the issue here. And a great deal of it, I think, is his pride. My cousin is rather…sensitive about certain subjects.”
