Chapter 307: Innocent Temptation

“Sit with me,” Kagome invited, patting the space beside her. “I feel awkward with you hovering over me like that.”

Kazuya’s eyes flashed at the female’s confession, his mind conjuring an inappropriate image with her not-so-innocent words–though they were unintentional.

“I don’t think that would be wise, Kagome-sama.”

The miko sat up, hair tumbling over her shoulders in midnight waves. The front of her yukata had opened a little, and Kazuya groaned inwardly at the sight.

“Why not?” she asked.

The youkai swallowed. “I…” he trailed off, eyes zeroing in on the red bruise on her neck.
