Chapter 301: Pick a Side

“Oh, Sesshoumaru, you disappoint your dear mother,” Satomi drawled, opening her fan with a flick of her wrist. “Why did you not wear the yukata I sent you? It was gorgeous.”

“I am no bitch, Haha-ue,” Sesshoumaru retorted sardonically. His expression was completely blank. “Even one as ancient as yourself should know this.”

Satomi pouted, ignoring the insult. “But it was so pretty! The pink would have gone fetchingly with your eyes! Don’t you think so, Kago-chan?”

“Erm…” The miko glanced down at her lap, fingers playing with her cobalt sleeves. The atmosphere was oppressive. “No comment?”
