Chapter 300: Smooth Operator

“Okay, fine. Maybe I’ll let you dress me after we go home.”

Sesshoumaru’s eyes gleamed at the female’s brazen words. “`Maybe’ is not an option.”

Kagome didn’t shy away from his arrogant tone. “You think you’re so smooth, don’t you?” she said, nudging him with her elbow.

“I do not think,” he replied, adding more fuel to their banter. “I know.”

Kagome laughed as they rounded the corner of the hallway, eyes squeezed shut in her amusement. “Hasn’t anyone ever told you that you’ve got a twisted sense of humor?”

Sesshoumaru’s answering smile was positively wicked. “On occasion.”
